4 D Concepts was commissioned by Linq IT to help a major city-based insurance and re-insurance client to overcome issues of performance degradation in their SQLServer systems.

The systems used a number of stages of data acquisition from up-stream insurance policy repositories to acquire changes in cover position and premium using Microsoft SQLServer Integration Services.

The amount of data had increased due to the establishment of IFRS17 which required policies to be split across policy years.

A third party consulting company provides outsourced services for deployment and the use of RedGate diagnostics were also used.

4 D Concepts managed the diagnostics of the issues to determine a number of key areas of concern both with respect the use of cloud based services based on Azure and on premise infrastructure. A complete report for management was produced in 14 days.
